Doctor of Ministry (DMin)

Program Description
The focus of ASCM D.Min program is Christian spirituality. This program helps students grow personally and spiritually, develop cutting-edge skills and competence in the practice of ministry and make scholarly contributions to the field of spirituality. The program is cohort-based and as such it is an accelerated degree completion program that creates a dynamic, learning community of professional ministers. This first cohort group will allow the program participants to move through the program with a core group of leaders, providing an opportunity to develop life-long networks.

Program Goals & Objectives

  • Bring about a deeper and more dynamic understanding of the classical Christian spiritual tradition
  • Enhance the study of spirituality in general and Pentecostal spirituality in particular
  • Help ministers of the gospel to have a theological understanding of spirituality in the context of pastoral ministries
  • Foster an understanding of the world’s changing spiritual landscape
  • Explore the intersection between issues of spirituality and other dimensions of life
  • Explore the complementary relationship between spirituality, theology and ministry

Admission Requirements

  1. A Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution,
    with a grade point average of B or 1.75
  2. A minimum of three years of full time ministry after completion of the M.Div. or equivalent
  3. Students must take ASCM administered EPE and MAT/OLSAT entrance examinations
